peppers<\/strong>\u00a0but do not rinse, as it can water down the dip. Pat dry peppers with a clean towel to remove as much moisture as you can, then tear them into pieces with your hands. If using fresh bell peppers, see Note 1.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-42993-step-0-1\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Set aside 1 or 2 walnuts for the garnish and finely chop them.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-42993-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">\n<p>Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the\u00a0<strong>walnuts<\/strong>\u00a0and toast for 3 minutes or until fragrant, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Now add the\u00a0<strong>breadcrumbs<\/strong>\u00a0and toast for 3 more minutes, or until walnuts are aromatic and breadcrumbs are golden brown, stirring frequently (don\u2019t walk away\u2013the breadcrumbs will burn). Take off the heat.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-42993-step-0-3\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">In a food processor, combine the\u00a0<strong>walnut-breadcrumb<\/strong>\u00a0mixture and the\u00a0<strong>chopped garlic<\/strong>. Blend until everything is broken down in fine crumbs.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-42993-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">To the food processor, add the drained<strong>\u00a0roasted peppers<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>olive oil<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>pomegranate molasses<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>lemon juice<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Aleppo pepper<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>cumin<\/strong>, and<strong>\u00a0salt.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-42993-step-0-5\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">\n<p>Use the\u00a0<u>pulse function<\/u>\u00a0and pulse repeatedly until the dip is mostly smooth but still a bit chunky. Taste, adding more pomegranate molasses or lemon for tang, or salt to season.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Note: If you prefer an entirely smooth consistency, use the blend function and blend until smooth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-42993-step-0-6\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Transfer the dip to a serving plate and use the back of a spoon to create waves in the dip. Drizzle some\u00a0<strong>good-quality olive oil<\/strong>\u00a0on top, garnish with reserved\u00a0<strong>finely chopped walnuts<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>optional toppings<\/strong>, such as fresh mint and pomegranate seeds.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"recipe-video\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"recipe-42993-notes\" class=\"wprm-recipe-notes-container wprm-block-text-normal\">\n<h3 class=\"wprm-recipe-header wprm-recipe-notes-header wprm-block-text-bold wprm-align-left wprm-header-decoration-none\">Notes<\/h3>\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-notes\">\n<ol>\n<li><strong>If using fresh bell peppers,\u00a0<\/strong><b>follow these instructions.<\/b>\n<ol>\n<li>Arrange a rack in the top third of the oven. Preheat oven to 450\u00baF\/230\u00baC. Line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper, as the peppers will get sticky.<\/li>\n<li>Cut 3 medium or large red bell peppers in half, lengthwise. Remove seeds, membranes, and stem. Arrange peppers on the lined pan, cut side down.<\/li>\n<li>Roast for 12 to 15 minutes, then rotate the pan 180\u00ba. Roast for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the top skins are charred and peppers have softened.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the peppers to a large bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Steam for 10 minutes.Use your hands to peel the skins from the peppers. Slice the peppers into strips.<\/li>\n<li>If making ahead of time, store peppers in a container in the fridge for 5 to 6 days.<\/li>\n<li>NOTE: You will likely need to add a bit more lemon juice and
