{"id":136,"date":"2020-12-09T14:22:43","date_gmt":"2020-12-09T14:22:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jaderiderjourneys.com\/cookbook\/?p=136"},"modified":"2020-12-09T14:27:21","modified_gmt":"2020-12-09T14:27:21","slug":"whey-protein-waffles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jaderiderjourneys.com\/cookbook\/2020\/12\/09\/whey-protein-waffles\/","title":{"rendered":"Whey Protein Waffles"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ERSTimeHeading\">Prep time: <time datetime=\"PT5M\">5 mins<\/time><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"ERSTimeHeading\">Cook time: <time datetime=\"PT10M\">10 mins<\/time><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERSTimeItem\"><time datetime=\"PT10M\">Yield:\u00a012 waffles<\/time><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 cups oat flour (just grind raw oats in food processor or blender to make into flour)<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp ground flax<\/li>\n<li>3 x30 gram scoops (or \u00be cup) whey protein (I used Whey Gourmet vanilla)<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<li>2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)<\/li>\n<li>4 egg whites (I used \u00bd cup carton egg whites)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Instructions<\/strong><br \/>\nPreheat waffle iron.<br \/>\nIn 1 bowl mix together oat flour, whey protein, flax, baking powder &amp; cinnamon. Mix until blended. Add in wet ingredients (milk, vanilla, egg white) and mix until blended.<br \/>\nAllow batter to sit for 5 minutes allowing it to thicken up a bit.<br \/>\nCook on waffle maker until golden brown (about 5 minutes).<br \/>\nServe topped with berries, low sugar syrup, or whatever you like!<br \/>\nStore leftovers in freezer bags and keep in the freezer.
