With just 72 hours, more or less, I am now getting reaching a bit of a feverish pace. \u00a0In about an hour I will go meet with Joe Krebs, who has agreed to give the bike what I pray is the final look over. \u00a0This is one of those days when I am hoping to hear something like “You are a neurotic fool. All is well. \u00a0No worries”.<\/p>\n

Trusting that this is all still on, I have printed all my reservations papers, including copies for Sandra. \u00a0Travel stuff has started piling up in the guest room, including tent, sleep roll and bag, stove, tools, camera, anti-mosquito suit, and, of course, socks.<\/p>\n

In the mean time, I would like to share two stories from the battle front on Human Trafficking:<\/p>\n

  1. NPR reports that as awareness on this issue continues to grow, calls to the Human Trafficking Hotline, run by the Polaris Project, a beneficiary of this ride, continue to grow. \u00a0The number of calls topped 10,000 in the last year. \u00a0[Read the full story here<\/a><\/strong>]<\/li>\n
  2. My very young, and wise, brother David Phillpot, shared with my this link yesterday. \u00a0 It is about Ratanak International<\/a><\/strong>, a ministry in Cambodia, which works on restoration in the area. \u00a0Interestingly, one of their fundraisers is Ride [a bicycle] for freedom.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As of today, the funding stands at\u00a028.94%. \u00a0This is over $7,800.00 for the Polaris Project, International Justice Mission, and Redeemed Ministries of Houston. \u00a0How awesome is that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
