{"id":761,"date":"2012-06-04T14:47:17","date_gmt":"2012-06-04T19:47:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jaderiderjourneys.com\/2endslavery\/?p=761"},"modified":"2012-06-04T16:43:53","modified_gmt":"2012-06-04T21:43:53","slug":"11-day-b4-departure-songs-from-the-front-27-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jaderiderjourneys.com\/2endslavery\/2012\/06\/04\/11-day-b4-departure-songs-from-the-front-27-million\/","title":{"rendered":"[11 day b4 departure] Songs from the front: 27 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good afternoon!<\/p>\n<p>Eleven days before departure, I find myself feeling blessed by the response that I have gotten from so many. \u00a0Generosity and care have infinite ways to express themselves. \u00a0As of 2:30 pm today, supporters have committed over $6,000.00 to the Polaris Project, International Justice Mission, and Redeemed Ministries of Houston. \u00a0This is a far cry from where I started 3 years ago, when I did my first ride, with the hope that I would get $27.00 in donations.<\/p>\n<p>I always feel touched by people&#8217;s desire to help. \u00a0When I say thank you, please know in your heart that I know it is not me you are supporting, but rather the voiceless, the\u00a0oppressed, the ignored, the invisible but visible victims of modern-day slavery.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I leave you with this song by Matt Redman, and the request to share the message. \u00a0Thanks to Steve Capper, for making me aware of this performance.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/K0L7NH48BWE?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lyrics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Come on!)<\/p>\n<p>{It astounds me that not only does human trafficking exist on the earth today, but there are actually more slaves than there have ever been before in the history of humanity.
