With 26 days to go, and funds raised being very close to 16%, I spent yesterday prepping the motorcycle for the trip, changing the mud guard, tightening bolts, and, yep, learning how to change wheels. It is amazing that to remove the wheel in this motorcycle, and others too, you need to remove brake calipers and antilock break sensors, before you get the wheel out. The changing of the front mud guard stems from the fact that certain types of mud are more sticky, and can build up on the tire. Increasing the clearance between tire and mud guard can prevent the front wheel from locking up. Tightening of the bolts, and covering the threads with a sticky compound, will prevent the rattling from the road from loosening them.
In the evening, we went to dinner with friends from CIty of Refuge Church, who have been faithful and loyal supporters in my call to fight human trafficking. During our visit, our friend Alexandra shared the news that a lawsuit has been filed to close Treasures Cabaret in Houston, on charges of Human Trafficking and drug violations. See the full story here.
Additionally, my daughter, all the way across the globe, shared the video at the end of this post. The video was created by the Stop The Traffick group in Europe.
